A Beneficial Tool For Navigating Healthy Travel

If you are planning a trip abroad, chart your health concerns via the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) website.

The online resource features a Travelers Health section where globetrotters can learn about the latest worldwide health warnings, identify destination-specific vaccines recommendations and get advice about special overseas travel health issues, such as traveling with pets or with a disability.

Intrepid types also can download the CDC’s TravWell mobile app, which includes a fully customizable to-do and packing list, stores travel documents, keeps a record of medications and vaccines and sets reminders to get vaccine boosters or take medicines while traveling.

And if you want to know if it’s safe to eat or drink something in a specific country, try the CDC’s “Can I Eat This?” app.
