A Forkful of Perceptive Flavors

Do you love dessert but don’t want to indulge? You can have your cake and think you’re eating it too by using the Aromafork—a somewhat bewitching sensory utensil that tricks the mind into thinking it’s eating what you smell.

Developed by Montreal-based Molecule-R, the molecular fork is sold via a kit with 21 flavors including chocolate, vanilla, passion fruit, basil and mint. The Aromafork works by dropping a capsule of aromatic liquid into its handle where a blotting paper then releases the particular scent as you take each bite.

Those with food allergies, as well as those who are dieting, could benefit from the perceptive gadget that enhances taste with the whiff of a fork.
