Inspired by the honeybee and its bounty, Apis Restaurant and Apiary opens in Austin’s Hill Country.
A lifelong dream for executive chef and owner Taylor Hall, Apis will serve locally sourced contemporary American cuisine complemented by honey yielded from 20 on-premise beehives.
Overseen by Hall and his team, the docile breed of bees also will help pollinate the restaurant’s garden. Situated on six beautiful acres overlooking the Pedernales River, the restaurant will offer residents and visitors a unique dining experience for special occasions and every day dining.
“Sourcing locally and using the freshest, seasonal ingredients whenever possible has always been a given for me,” said Hall.
Look for an ever-changing seasonal menu that might include Apis honey-glazed duck breast with beets, faro and rose, or Columbia River Steelhead Trout with sunchokes, fennel and Meyer lemon.
