After 30 years of opening his ever-popular Pico’s Mex-Mex Restaurant with his wife Janice on Bellaire Boulevard, chef Arnaldo Richards continues his legacy in a new hacienda-style home in Houston’s Upper Kirby district.
Chef Richards, a Monterrey, Mexico native, revolutionized the Houston Mexican restaurant business by introducing interior-of-Mexico sauces, flavors and presentation styles that were previously unknown here. He also played a pivotal role in educating consumers about tequila.
His new restaurant features a spacious dining room, a tequila room with private liquor lockers, a fully-stocked bar with premium tequilas, mezcals and other spirits, and a shaded wood deck patio.
Pico’s rolls out a Sunday brunch buffet with salads, soups, appetizers, entrées and desserts, including Paella Valenciana, fresh grilled fish, chilaquiles, and regional moles and guisados. Mexican hot chocolate is served at every table!
