Dress for Success Houston (DFSH) supporters joined co-founder and president, Nancy Levicki, and event chairs, Mary and Ben Patton with Rachael and Jason Volz, to celebrate its 18th year of empowering women in the Houston community.

Held on October 15, 2016, the annual Cuisine for a Cause began with an outdoor presentation emceed by KHOU anchor Mia Gradney that highlighted DFSH’s mission and featured client success stories. Following the presentation, more than 350 foodies proceeded inside for a moveable feast.

Guests enjoyed gourmet cuisine from a record-breaking 19 restaurants offering culinary stations, smooth vocals from Kristine Mills with pianist Jeff Franzel, and dancing to tunes spun by DJ London. A Fare Extraordinaire, with special recognition to Karen Lerner, was also honored for its continued support since DFSH’s humble roots in 1,500 square feet at 45 North and West Little York.

The evening raised just over $385,000 for DFSH, which will allow the organization to continue and grow its mission of promoting the economic independence of disadvantaged women.
