The building, which began its life as the Hyde Park Corner underground (Tube) station by architect Lesley Green, is also the former home of iconic jazz and cabaret venue, Pizza on the Park. It reopened as The Wellesley in December 2012 as an intimate luxury hotel.

Billed as London’s first boutique-grand hotel, The Wellesley offers a singular experience in London’s extravagant Knightsbridge neighborhood. The building—a beautifully restored 1920s townhouse that also once served as a jazz club where greats like Jamie Cullum, George Melly, Amy Winehouse and Barbara Cook performed—honors its colorful history with a modern take on Art Deco style and a continued tradition of live music at the Jazz Lounge.
Guests will also appreciate the complimentary Rolls-Royce service and the in-house “cigar sommelier,” who curates an extensive collection of cigars housed in the hotel’s walk-in cigar humidor (the largest in the U.K.).
The Wellesley recently partnered with Grace Belgravia—a health, wellness and lifestyle club exclusively for women— to offer a day of pure spa indulgence that includes signature facial and spa treatments as well as breakfast, lunch and accommodation.
