A sellout crowd of 460 guests dressed in game-day attire attended Boys & Girls Harbor’s fantasy football draft party on Wednesday, September 9 at NRG Stadium.
Sports Director and anchor for KPRC Channel 2, Randy McIlvoy emceed the evening’s draft activities. Guests had an opportunity to receive advice from and meet celebrity coaches including Doug Dawson, Chester Pitts, Chick Harris, Bubba Thornton and Jacob Green.
Attendees then drafted their very own fantasy football team—the fantasy football winner will receive two tickets to the 2016 Super Bowl. Event chairmen Diane Englet and Darayus Pardivala and honorary chairman Fred Newhouse scored big points with a silent auction featuring autographed sports memorabilia, big boards and an exciting live auction.
The evening raised over $300,000 to help Boys & Girls Harbor reach their goal to provide healthy, comprehensive residential care for children who are victims of abuse, neglect, abandonment or family hardship.
