A throng of young professionals and community leaders packed chic Memorial area hot spot Vallone’s for a special evening with the Houston Police Department benefiting the Houston Police Foundation on Tuesday, March 31.
MetroNational’s Vice Chairman & Senior Vice President Jason Johnson and his wife Stacy, along with Chief of Police Charles A. McClelland, Jr., hosted the swank fete that featured a full bar and mouthwatering fare from Vallone’s. Chief McClelland gave a heartfelt speech about his involvement with the Houston Police Foundation and their dedication to serving the community.
Throughout the evening, guests mingled with HPD’s finest, learned about the Houston Police Foundation’s mission, and had the exclusive opportunity to don the department’s bullet proof gear and witness a special K-9 unit demo. KPRC-TV Channel 2 Vice President & General Manager Jerry Martin purchased the sponsorship of a canine on behalf of the station. The pup will be formerly introduced in April to viewers on the 6 p.m. news and Chief McClelland will appear on the newscast.
