The cool climate of Colorado greeted Houston Methodist patrons at Peak Performances on Thursday, July 16 in Aspen.
Cam and Rod Canion, Nancy and Jack Dinerstein and Lesha and Tom Elsenbrook hosted the multi-faceted event, along with the trio of “Caddies” Clayton Erikson, Denise Monteleone and Dr. Veronica Selinko-Curran, who championed the golf portion.
The Grand Rounds Golf Open presented by Bayou City Capital, L.P. drew a full field of golfers who enjoyed the breathtaking mountains while making the rounds. Non-golfers enjoyed Food For Thought, a cooking class at Maroon Creek Club with Executive Chef Adam Gordon and Houston Methodist nutritionist Kari Kooi.
The day concluded at Aspen Golf Club, where everyone gathered outdoors to enjoy the mountain views, cocktails, a barbeque dinner, live music and the Grand Rounds Golf Open awards. A raffle drawing featuring a necklace and earrings donated by Valobra Jewelry and Franco Valobra, a TaylorMade driver and dinner with Drs. Julie and Marc Boom topped off the evening.
All funds raised from the event benefit the Translational Research Initiative at Houston Methodist Research Institute.
