More than 400 guests shared their support of Memorial Park Conservancy and this year’s honoree, Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, for its longstanding support of the Conservancy and the Park on February 5, 2015.
Memorial Park has been the home to the Show’s trailriders for nearly 60 years, and many of its 28,000 volunteers are Houstonians who consider the Park one of the city’s greatest assets.
Since “Rodeo” was this year’s theme, City Kitchen prepared a custom menu that included Crispy South Texas Duck Tacos with Avocados, Trail Ride South Texas Bob White Quail with Ancho Chili Glaze, Jalapeno Cheese Grits, and for dessert, Pear and Cranberry Crisp with Bourbon Gelato. Music was provided by Wood & Wire.
During dinner, Crestwood Garden Club was awarded the 2015 Ima Hogg Service Award.
The evening garnered more than $350,000 for Memorial Park Conservancy.
