Over 400 guests—dressed in their best jeans and boots getup—streamed into the massive tent at the Polo Club on Thursday, October 22, 2015 for Nature Rocks benefiting The Nature Conservancy in Texas.
Complete with upscale ranch décor, the rain held off during the outdoor evening as supporters enjoyed the relaxed vibe while viewing large murals of Texas preserves. The evening included catering by chef Bryan Caswell and a live performance by Texas country music star Jack Ingram that had everyone on the dance floor.
Chairs Alie and David Pruner and co-chairs, Dee and Jeff Boswell and Judy and Elliott Bouillion, with honorees Anne and Charles Duncan Jr. thanked friends and celebrated the successful efforts raising over $520,000 for the evening. Presenting sponsor Chevron was also applauded during the program.
“What a great night for The Conservancy. We are fortunate to have so many generous people here in Houston and across the state that support our work on behalf of all Texans to protect our irreplaceable freshwater supplies, conserve our vast and unique landscapes, and support our growing cities so that future generations have a place to call home,” said Laura Huffman, Texas State Director.
