"Love is in the Air" at the 2015 Houston Heart Ball—American Heart Association's most anticipated yearly event—on February 14 at Hilton Americas.
The elegant occasion will gather business leaders, professionals, philanthropists, and other community members to raise funds, build passion and celebrate the commitment to fight heart disease and stroke.
The annual black tie event will consist of cocktails, dinner, dancing, live music provided by the band Sauce and a live auction.
Heart disease and stroke—the nation’s No. 1 and No. 5 killers—and all other cardiovascular diseases, claim more than 787,000 American lives a year. The American Heart Association's fundraising goal is $1.5 million for the 2015 Houston Heart Ball. Research funded by the American Heart Association has yielded or contributed to many important innovations such as CPR, life-extending drugs (including clot-busters), pacemakers, bypass surgery, the heart-lung machine and surgical techniques to repair heart defects.
