Fashion X Struts to the City of Houston for the First Time [Event Coverage]

Silver Street Studios set the stage for the debut of Fashion X Houston presented by Cadillac on October 13-15, 2016.

Touted as the premiere “fashion week” in the Houston market, the fashion-forward event featured stars from Lifetime’s hit series “Project Runway,” some of the best and brightest designers from the city and emerging designers from around the globe.

Houston-based designer Nicholas Phat Nguyen of Mysterious by N.P.N. was recognized as the BERNINA Fashion Fund Recipient. Nicholas was presented with a BERNINA 330 (B 330) sewing machine and the BERNINA L 450 Overlocker—both machines together are valued at $2,600.

Guests clinked drinks while enjoying runway shows and galleries. Models were clad in looks from a bevy of designers including Chloe Dao, TropiCouture and Becky Hollands. Special collections curated from the closets of Hannah McNair, Joanna Marks and Lucinda Loya were also showcased. McNair, Marks and Loya were all honored not only for their influential style, but also for their untiring devotion to non-profit organizations.

A portion of all Friday “Style Setter” tickets will be donated to The Periwinkle Foundation while a portion of Saturday’s tickets will be donated to the Children’s Assessment Center (CAC).
