K9s4COPs Celebrates Christmas in July With Santa in Tow [Event Coverage]

On July 25, 2016, Santa made a special trip from the North Pole to K9s4COPs’ Christmas in July celebration—all in an effort to spread the joy in supporting K9s who help keep Houston communities and schools safe.

Held in K9s4COPs’ new office building off of Westheimer and Fountain View, the winter wonderland in the middle of summer was a packed house with sheriff’s deputies, Houston Police officers, K9s and loyal supporters of the organization.

Guests were treated to photo ops with Santa and signature lite bites from popular eatery Dish Society, which included Pork Belly Bites and Pretzels & Queso.

Stealing part of the show from Santa and his summer overalls was K9 Ziko and his K9 partner Sgt. Chris Moore who discussed their relationship as K9 and handler and how it has brought success protecting the community.
