Pack Your Bags Because These Health Stats Will Motivate You

In the name of global safety, travel bans have become normal in the world at large, but science still defends the health benefits of packing your bags.

The list of mental and physical advantages of travel is well-documented, especially when it comes to longevity and heart health.

For example, a joint study by the Global Coalition on Aging, the Transamerica Center for Retirement Studies and the U.S. Travel Association found that women who vacation at least twice a year show a significantly lower risk of suffering a heart attack than those who only travel every six years or so.

Likewise, men who do not take an annual vacation show a 20 percent higher risk of death and 30 percent greater risk of heart disease.
