Patrons Pawty for a Cause Raising a Record $300,000 for Houston PetSet [Event Coverage]

Chaired for the fourth time by twins Tena Lundquist Faust and Tama Lundquist, around 360 guests attended the 12th Annual Houston PetSet Gala honoring Don Sanders on September 9, 2016 at The Astorian.

Prince Lorenzo Borghese from ABC’s “The Bachelor” was the celebrity guest of honor. Borghese is president of Animal Aid USA, a nonprofit focusing on changing laws to stop animal cruelty. The evening included cocktails, dinner, auction, a lively after-gala party and canine celebrity Charlie, a pit-bull rescue from Southside Street Dogs.

Jan Duncan was also recognized for her $89,000 donation through Houston PetSet for Emancipet to open its first veterinary clinic in Houston’s East End to provide low-cost neuter/spay services.

The event topped last year’s gala raising a record $300,000.
