From hand-painted skulls of Kah tequila to rock star blowups of great moments in rock ‘n’ roll history, the 2016 Alley Theatre Ball transported over 350 rocker chic-clad guests back in time for an evening of nostalgic fun on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Silver Street Studios.
The Galleria was the Platinum Presenting Sponsor and appropriately, fashion statements were made—women donned dresses and gowns with touches of leather and fringe while many of the men wore black tie sported tuxedo jackets and concert t-shirts.
During cocktail hour, guests perused the silent auction items which included coveted trips to New York, Costa Rica and The Virgin Islands, as well as tickets to the 2017 Tony Awards Show. Tony’s served up a surprise with their tableside trays of sliders—from Kobe Beef Cheeseburger to Caprese Sliders—that guests hope make it to their regular menu.
Following the main course, guests made their way to the dance floor for The Summer of Love. The band, featuring Glen Burtnik, alumnus of Styx, had guests showing off their multi-platinum moves to their iconic 60s rock music.
Hitting a high note, the evening raised an excess of $600,000 for Alley Theatre’s Education and Community Engagement Programs.
