The original yet remodeled “Little Yellow House” on the 5-acre former Teas Nursery site has blossomed as The Ivy & James. The tiny cafe is the cornerstone of the new Evelyn’s Park Conservancy, which flourishes with an outdoor patio, herb garden, beer garden and pavilion.
Chef and beekeeper Jamie Zelko has created an all-day menu of American comfort food from organic and local ingredients. Think charred Chicago dog, free-range chicken and lump blue crab cakes with Thai chili sauce, plus a slew of flatbreads, salads and sandwiches.
Picnic baskets are available daily, food can be ordered online and picked up curbside, and prix-fixe dinners with wine pairings are served Thursday through Saturday.
