A distinctive pitched roof, picture windows and a sweeping patio lend an airy, unpretentious vibe to this newcomer near downtown. Seasonal and local ingredients—some sourced from the on-site garden—star on Pitchfork Pretty‘s modern Hill Country-inspired menu by chef Max Snyder.

Fan favorites include the crab toast; fried chicken with chickpea breading and buttermilk dressing; gazpacho; and Hill Country platters for sharing with smoked beef ribs and grilled chicken.

Austinites also are crushing on the breakfasts including artisan lox and bagels and caldo de pollo frito. To drink, anticipate expertly crafted cocktails and on point wines.
